MAKING NASREDDIN HOCA WITH A LOLLIPOP NOSE

Nasreddin Hoca is complete.

The stories we read everyday are unimaginable without Nasreddin Hoca because both Mr. Milkbeard and Mr. Spitty are very crazy about Turkish stories that are full of puns and words of wisdom. And even myself, I have fallen in love with it, too. I got “married into” the Turkish language and always have a smirk in the corner of my mouth. Since the hype about it is quite big over here, I came up with the idea to craft Nasreddin Hocas as a lollipop and give it to children for Eid al Adha.

Materials for Nasreddin Hoca

PRINT OUT CRAFT KIT

The first thing you will need in order to begin crafting is the matching craft kit for this blog post. Either you download it as a file and print out all the elements at home or you use my new printing service. In case you don’t have a high-quality printer or high-quality paper, you can always just check out my shop and have the craft kit directly sent to you. Or even if you would just like to start on it without any major organizational effort.

CUTTING OUT MATERIALS

Basically, the lollipops are finished in a flash. I have now, as you have certainly noticed, started to make the craft kits a bit more simple so that the amount of work is not too much to handle for you. Since I know all too well how nerve-wrecking preparing tons of presents can get as a very busy mom.

So, you just cut out the heads by following the lines around it.

Cut out the Nasreddin Hoca.

In addition, you need to cut out the circle for the nose part because that is where the lollipop will be going into.

PLACE THE LOLLIPOP IN THE RIGHT SPOT

Now you just have to take your lollipop- I chose to use the standard Chupa Chups size- and stick it into the slot.

DONE!

Your Nasreddin Hoca with the lollipop nose is done. That was simple, easy and went super fast, didn’t it? Besides, I find them absolutely super cute & sweet. Not only because of the sugary lollipops. 😉
