RAMADAN GARLAND | DRAWING MANDALAS

You asked me to, “Vanessa! We would like to have more craft kits that involve lots of drawing for our kids”. Today I would like to fulfill this request and since Ramadan just started, I will show you a garland that you can draw on yourself. Inspired by a mandala, this craft kit offers a great opportunity to use your creative mind. This is a lot of fun, not only for children but also for us adults.

YOU NEED:

PRINT OUT CRAFT KIT

The first thing you will need in order to begin crafting is the matching craft kit for this blog post. Either you download it as a file and print out all the elements at home or you use my new printing service. In case you don’t have a high-quality printer or high-quality paper, you can always just check out my shop and have the craft kit directly sent to you. Or even if you would just like to start on it without any major organizational effort.

COLORING/PAINTING

At first, you draw all the elements of the garland either by yourself or best would be together with your children. The more helping hands there are, the faster you get it done. Having more people involved also makes the drawing part a lot more fun. However, I also like to use such detailed coloring booklets for myself just to relax and simply to have time for myself. It doesn’t really matter which crayons/markers you use. I used crayons but you can also use markers or thin fineliners.

CUTTING OUT MATERIALS & LAMINATING THEM

Now all of the elements get cut out. As an option, you can laminate the garland in order to make it more stable and so that it holds longer. For this, you will need to place the pages in-between the laminated foil and use the laminating machine, according to its instructions.

CUTTING THEM OUT & PUNCHING HOLES

Now the elements have to get cut out again and each of them needs to get two holes punched so they can get hung up.

THREADING

In the last step, you pull a ribbon through all of the elements and tie a knot at each end so that they don’t slide off.

Your colorful Ramadan garland with the mandala motifs is finished.

Insha Allah you had a nice beginning of Ramadan and that you have a great time with your family. I hope that you like the garland with the mandala elements and that you are excited to have some coloring & painting fun.

I wish you a blessed Ramadan!

Kind regards & Salam

Your Vanessa
